Says that they don't have to clean up spilled MBTE!
(methyl tertiary butyl ether, that is…an additive…carcinogen!)
Now, MBTE is a rather nasty chemical
If it seeps into the water it could kill us one and all
And if your company spills some MBTE
'Safe Harbor' will protect you from liability!
Chuck Schumer sez "This legislation is a giveaway
To oilmen down in Texas (who are cronies of DeLay)
He says "Filibuster is the only way to go
And send the this bill back where the sun don't ever show!"

This witty ditty reveals an ominous truth, not just the 20 year battle of deadly pollution, but how the companies have tied up their lawsuits in the courts while endlessly plying congressman with lobbyist's favors. Now they've gotten what they've wanted. My first post this month was about this bill when it left the house. Let's see if the democrats can unite against it with some level headed republicans. It's one of the reasons we can no longer drink from some of the once pristine springs in this land that extends from tainted to sea to shining sea.
Yeah, but I made it rhyme.
