And the US now hates China because they make stuff cheap and their economy is stronger.

Sorry, Daniel--as a person who wants to make a living as an actor, your sanity has already been called into question. As a progressive liberal, the lack of sanity has been confirmed.
I would give you some of my sanity, but I find it is in extremely short supply.

Let freedom ring made in a communist country. They've been making American flags for some years now. They WILL bury us.
Bury us in what? Cheap plastic trinkets?
Lets look at China rationally, 1.3 billion people, a completely trashed eco-system, an infectious disease timebomb. They've also got 100 million floating workers in a country with too few women who must stay employed to be kept out of trouble. China is completely dependant on selling all that cheap plastic rubbish. And as utterly dependant on oil as we are.
I would have said with their huge trade surplus and our huge trade deficit that China would bury us economically. But really, China is just another card in this very shakey house of cards. They may well bury us, but we're all going down together.
The question is, did the buyer purchase said medallion for the ironic value or the patriotic value?
It was in a 'grab bag' full o' crap from some event or other that he went to.
The kid's nine--he doesn't understand irony. He likes poop jokes.
So do I, but that's not the point here.
