Seriously, I think this may end up being something close to that. I have had relatively little fear in my life. This war, this President, scares me.
I am with holding comments on Iraq until I see if the Iraqi's can put aside factionalism and come up with a workable constitution. Their turn out for the elections was a sign that this is not an exercise in futility. A succesful constitution would mean the eventual end of the insurgents and a stable government.
I do keep thinking about Washingtons Farewell address though

Which part, Mal? The part about factionalism dividing the country, or the avoidance of entanglements with foreign powers?
Both seem startlingly relevant. At least to my old brain. I should probably reread it.
