isn't it a violation of the first amendment to arrest her for protesting? what made this different? i never saw anything on the news about it because of the katrina/rita coverage.
They gave the excuse that it was a restricted area, or something like that, gave her three warnings, etc. She wanted to be arrested to make a statement, most probably, as did the anti-war protesters with her, and I say that the plan worked beautifully.
old tractor: Yes, of course you're right. I think her point was more one of "we're not moving until we're heard, regardless of the consequences". I applaud her choices.
