Cindy Sheehan Shut Down

You know, more on this later today, but really - it's time for a call to arms. You have to read the story. It leaves you speechless.

Call the Mayor, dammit. Email him.

Copy this from below if you want: And then go here and paste it in.

Dear Mr. Mayor I was shocked to hear how Cindy Sheehan was interrupted from speaking in Union Square, her microphone taken away and escorted off the premises. There are times when events occur not just in a public square, or a street corner, but on the public stage as well, and this time the Nation is watching. Cindy Sheehan has become a national figure symbolizing compassion, grief, and peace. A Gold Star mom who has made the greatest sacrifice, giving up her child's life for the war in Iraq, I was disgusted to hear how her peaceful comments were unceremoniously shut down. New York City is a national symbol of high finance, high art, and one had thought until now, high intelligence. Is this how you treat a one of our Nation's newly beloved?
