Not My Fault

If you were wondering how the White House would spin their latest fuckup, there's your answer. Blame the local governments.
The administration had sought control over National Guard units, normally under control of the governor. Louisiana officials rejected the request, noting that such a move would be comparable to a federal declaration of martial law. State authorities suspected a political motive behind the request. "Quite frankly, if they'd been able to pull off taking it away from the locals, they then could have blamed everything on the locals," said the source, who is an adviser and does not have the authority to speak publicly.

So that's why. Even as this was happening, the White House was looking to politicize this disaster.

Funny, I don't recall Bush trying to take over the national guard during last years disasters in Florida. I wonder why? Maybe we should ask Florida's governor why. What's his name? Jeb Something-or-other.

Sweet picture BP. I was thinking today that for years we've been told that Bush has no patience for incompetence. He's a taskmaster. He'd fire anybody that screwed up. But the truth is, he only fires or pushes out the people that disagree with him. The fuck-ups and incompetents and criminals are all his cronies. Michael (call me "Brownie") Brown, Chertoff, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Rice, Wolfowitz, Rove, Bremer - these guys are golden. He gives them medals.
He tells Brownie he's doing a superb job!!! Yeah, if the job description includes drowning people, I guess.
Bush won't fire Brown or Chertoff because he appointed them. And that would mean he made a mistake and as we all know, he'll never do that. He can't even say the
"Administration" made a mistake here. He said, the response was good. I just don't like the results. No shit Sherlock. We have a madman as our President.

"High octane caffiene beverages and protest music!" That'll all be present in DC on the 24th. I really believe that anyone who has a problem with Bush sould meet there. cindy Sheehan is focused on the War, but it's all about accountability. If everyone who wants answers for anything converges on DC, that wil be something to see!
