Running On Empty

He's running on Empty.
Just like your gas tank.

You want another four years of his empty ideas?
They got you to where you are now.

Inspire you with confidence?

It's a RepbuliCON game.
They win.
You lose.

Vote Democrat.

Technically we can't have another four years of him anyway...correct? And just because President Bush hasn't lived up to some people's expectations doesn't necessarily mean that all Republicans will not.

You're right, steffi, and you're wrong.
To say that this man hasn't lived up to some people's expectations is an understatement of monumental proportions.

He flat-out lied to America.

He continues to lie to America.

But, as you say, he can't have another four years of him.

Unless the twenty-second Amendment gets repealed.

And technically, they could do it. They've got almost enough pull in Congress to do that.

But here's the thing: Most of the Republicans in power at the moment are in lock-step with the President. They have forged a group with incredible loyalty to the Bush/Cheney/Rove worldview, and any who disagree are viciously attacked.

Ask Joseph Wilson. Ask Paul O'Neil.

Ask John McCain.

This group still holds incredible power in Washington, and unless they destroy themselves with sheer hubris, any Republican with eyes on the White House will have to pay fealty to them.

Screw Democrat. They're all the same. Vote third party.

PC: Do you really believe they're all the same? We've never had this level of corruption and flagrant violation of the law in an administration since, probably Taft. Third party siphons off any chance of a majority win to oust these yahoos. I empathise with you, but feel if Nader hadn't reared his head in 2000 we'd have Gore in the White House, and isn't that much prefered.

I do. The Republicans are really bad, but the Democrats haven't spoken out or done anything to help. We haven't really heard from them in years, and now we don't have ANYONE in government to look to. The two-party system has failed us. It's time to bring in a third, and even a fourth. Let's make sure we have some real choices.

Democrats don't help me. I'm a liberal. Doms are no longer on the left. They're center, we're left.
