Wow. Wow. Wow.

Phil Donahue takes on Bill O'Reilly, mano a mano and watch how the bully blusters, then the wind falls from his sails. Donahue is steely tough and talk about staying the course. He evicerates Bill's points and keeps citing the facts.

Is it my imagination or are we seeing more of this lately? Cindy Sheehan, Paul Hacket (veteran who ran against incumbent in Ohio and lost by narrow margin), Donahue, citizens standing up and blasting back.

Donahue mentions the big anti-war rally this Sunday, he says largest since Vietnam. Right outside the President's window.

Something is happening, finally...

Crooks and Liars.

How do you think W.'s handling the pressure? War failing, public support waning, national crisis mishandled, his carefully crafted image cracked? Enquirer says he's drinking again. Well, they're only right about 70% of the time, wouldn't you say? (Raw Story had the link)

Thi sisn' momentum. This is just lip service. If it was momentum there would be people coming out of the woodwork to support Cindy Sheehan and other anti-Bush organizations. I'm sure we won't even get media coverage on Sunday. There are people in DC, but not enough. The government will be able to dimiss he protesters as kooks, and it will all be over. Unless we actually DO SOMETHING.

colleen: missed Carter, love him, can you post a link?
polanco: take heart, there is a change in the wind - it always stalls to a dead calm, before it can change direction into a gale.

I heard one of the many die hard Republicans in the office talking about this O'Reily episode. She seemed to think that O'Reily really let Donahue have it. (I don't see how that would be possible).

I didn't see the show, so I can't really comment, but I personally don't think she's the brightest bulb in the bunch. I just find it interesting that she had a completely different point of view.

Woah! I missed the bit about ol' Bushie drinking again. As much of a rag the Enquirer can be...they have been correct about quite a few things.

sfchick: yes, this is the problem, isn't it? A big like the "black knight" in Python's "Holy Grail" He has an arm hacked off, then another, then his legs, and is still insisting he's winning and demands to continue the fight. Finally disgusted, Arthur rides off leaving him there yelling after him "fine, we'll call it a draw!" But that's comedy, this is real life. And they're just as clueless. I guess the trick is to just remove them from power and let them whine about it out of office. As for Bush's drinking - that's not the only place it's surfaced. Check this previous post:
