...the number of days since the world was notified that the Vice President shot anyone.

Top Ten reasons Cheney shot that 78 year old guy in the face.

From the home office, Dick Cheney's Top 10 Excuses for Shooting That Guy:

10. Sure, like you've never seen giant game birds wearing day glo orange vests
9. Warrantless domestic spying revealed he was getting phone calls from al Qaeda
8. If the Vice President does it, its not against the law
7. Hoping to put him in a persistent vegetative state so the GOP could pass a law to keep him alive
6. Thought he was hunting Dan Quayle
5. The love between them could not survive back in Washington
4. Birds, Cows, People-- with my eyesight I'm lucky I hit anything
3. Positive the guy's family will welcome him as a liberator
2. Pheasants? I thought we were hunting peasants

and the number one Cheney excuse for shooting that guy:

1. Open season on liberals started early this year

#3 is my favorite. Thanks Dallas Dem at DKos

As I posted over at my crib, Dr. Evil may have been drunk when he shot that guy.

Even I, a supporter of the current administration, am relieved that George W. won't be returning for another term. This administration has been ripped to shreds and instead of focusing on anything good that has been done, it's all about petty name calling and bullying.

Just remember, steff, that most of the shredding and ripping (as well as the bulk of the petty name-calling and bullying) that has been done recently has been done to the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and it has been done by these guys.

Yes Steff, poor shrubco he's such a victim. How quickly you wingnuts forget Bill Clinton and the shredding you gave him for a minor sexual indescretion. Nothing Clinton ever did even approaches the the most minor of the shrubco crimes.

Oh yeah, nothing good has been done by this cabal either. Nothing!

Looking back at my last post is making me wax nostalgic.

I remember after the Supremes handed shrubco the election in 2000 thinking, "how bad can he screw it up?" America is richer and stronger than ever. Peace is breaking out all over the world. We have record budget surplusses and government spending has been declining. Government is getting smaller. I am financially better off than I had ever been. My health is great and I have great insurance.

WTF happened in the last 6 years?

Cranky: LOL.
Steff: The Pres. hates governing, "hates government" though he's swollen ours and stripmined it via privatizing (voting, FEMA)and made both worse, filled appointments with obdient and unskilled friends (Michael Brown; FEMA; resigned after katrina disaster watch Chertoff go next, David Safavian; Government's Top Procurement Official; indicted, Bush Fundraiser Tom Noe; indicted, it goes on...) Bush promotes secrecy and law breaing in his own administration (Scooter Libby; indicted, Karl Rove still on the block for lying to Fitzgerald, presidential order for NSA wire tapping action is ILLEGAL...) it goes on and on. Love to know why you support them. He's not even a true conservative - a real conservative would embrace fiscal conservatism and bring down the deficit, protect the environemtn (Bush is planning to sell off $1 billion of state parks to generate much needed cash in the bank he has busted by cutting taxes and going to war, unless he can be stopped), promote more isolationist less global interference policies, would support the middle class and poor, because they pay the taxes baby and when those two class structures are crippled and come knocking at the government's door for help - and the bank is empty, it doesn't matter if you're rich, the country folds. So - what do you "support" about the guy?
